Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 June 2026

Important: movegrid provides property information for general guidance only. It is not a substitute for professional legal, surveying, or financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making property decisions.

1. About movegrid

movegrid is operated by MoveGrid Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. These terms govern your use of our website at movegrid.co.uk and any associated services. By using movegrid, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

movegrid aggregates publicly available property data — including sold prices, EPC ratings, flood risk, school information, transport links, and planning history — and presents it in a single, easy-to-read format.

We source data from UK government open data sources including HM Land Registry, the Department for Education, the Environment Agency, Ofsted, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and others. We do not generate or verify this data ourselves.

3. Your movegrid account

You can use most of movegrid without an account. Creating a free account unlocks additional features such as saved properties and a personalised dashboard. When you create an account, you agree to the following:

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • Your account is personal to you. Sign-in links sent to your email address grant access to your account, so you are responsible for keeping your email account secure and for all activity that occurs under your movegrid account
  • You may only create and operate one account for your own personal, non-commercial use

You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@movegrid.co.uk from your registered email address — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, are used fraudulently, or have been inactive for more than 24 months (we will email you first).

4. Accuracy of information

We make reasonable efforts to keep data up to date, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information displayed on movegrid. In particular:

  • Sold prices are sourced from HM Land Registry and may take several months to appear after completion
  • EPC ratings reflect the most recent certificate and may not reflect current property condition
  • Flood risk data is indicative only and should not replace a full flood risk assessment
  • School information and Ofsted ratings may not reflect the most recent inspection
  • Planning history may be incomplete if council records are not yet digitised
  • Broadband availability is postcode-level and individual premises may differ

Always verify critical information through official sources and qualified professionals before making any property-related decision.

5. Not professional advice

Nothing on movegrid constitutes legal, financial, surveying, planning, or any other form of professional advice. movegrid is an information tool, not an advisory service. You should always obtain independent professional advice before buying, selling, or renting a property.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use movegrid for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable laws
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from movegrid without prior written permission
  • Attempt to circumvent any rate limiting, access controls, or security measures
  • Use movegrid to build a competing product or service without our consent
  • Transmit any malicious code, viruses, or disruptive content
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or organisation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who breaches these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The movegrid name, logo, website design, and original content are owned by MoveGrid Ltd and protected by UK intellectual property law. Data sourced from government open data is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from movegrid's original content without our written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoveGrid Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from your reliance on information displayed on movegrid
  • Any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of profit or opportunity
  • Any inaccuracy, incompleteness, or delay in data provided by third-party sources
  • Any interruption or unavailability of the service

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed £100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Third-party links and data

movegrid may link to third-party websites (such as Ofsted reports, GOV.UK services, or council planning portals). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites. Links are provided for convenience only.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep movegrid available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control without prior notice. We are not liable for any loss caused by service unavailability.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of movegrid after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
